Hey I’m Forest!

a playwright, screenwriter, and actor. My plays have been developed and recognized by Page 73, the O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, Working Theater, Noor Theatre, Theater Masters, the Bay Area Playwrights Festival, and the American Blues Theater. I was a 2025 MacDowell Fellow and Yaddo Resident Artist, and the 2025 winner of the NYFA / Ryan Hudak Award for dramatic writing.  My work explores memory, migration, violence, queerness, divas, and my Arab, Irish and Jewish heritage.

I completed my MFA in the Dramatic Writing department at NYU Tisch School of the Arts (‘23) and received my B.A. from Harvard University (‘20) In addition to my creative work, I am an arts educator, as well as a member of the SWANA Writer’s Co-Op and a Planet Fitness that I’ve never been to.
