About Me

I’m Forest!

I’m a playwright / actor / performer etc.

My writing has been recognized or developed by Theater Masters (“The Death Card”), Playwrights Foundation (“French Boy Cigarettes”), The American Blues Theater (“For You, The Same”), The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center (“Gidou”), Yaddo, MacDowell (“Ms. Cleary’s Last Supper”), and Page 73 (“Sisyphus in Yaffa”). My work often explores memory, migration, queerness, divas, and my Arab and Jewish heritage.

I’m a recent MFA graduate from the Dramatic Writing department at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and received my B.A. from Harvard University in History & Literature, with a focus on the Arab world.

In addition to my creative work, I am an arts educator as well as Senior Curator for Lucid, a new streaming platform for experimental film, dance, and performance. I’m also a member of the SWANA Writer’s Co-Op and a Planet Fitness that I’ve never been to.

Finally, and most importantly, Free Palestine.
