About Me

I write plays, movies, sometimes prose, I used to write poetry for attention.

My writing has been recognized or developed by Theater Masters (“The Death Card”), Playwrights Foundation (“French Boy Cigarettes”), The American Blues Theater (“For You, The Same”), The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center (“Gidou”), Yaddo, MacDowell (“Ms. Cleary’s Last Supper”), and Page 73 (“Sisyphus in Yaffa”). I’ve also been supported by NYFA as the 2025 winner of the Ryan Hudak LGBTQ+ Dramatic Writing Award, and NYU as the 2024 winner of the Goldberg Prize. My work often explores memory, migration, queerness, divas, and my Arab and Jewish heritage.

I completed my MFA in the Dramatic Writing department at NYU Tisch School of the Arts (‘23) and received my B.A. from Harvard University (‘20) in History & Literature, with a focus on the Arab world.

In addition to my creative work, I am an arts educator as well as Senior Curator for Lucid, a new streaming platform for experimental film, dance, and performance. I’m also a member of the SWANA Writer’s Co-Op and a Planet Fitness that I’ve never been to.

Finally, and most importantly, Free Palestine.
