About Me

I’m Forest!

I’m a writer / actor / performer etc.

I love to write (and play) characters who find themselves in impossible circumstances— and then I also like to make those characters laugh in spite of it all. My writing often explores memory, migration, queerness, divas, and my Arab and Jewish heritage.

My work has been recognized or developed by Theater Masters (“The Death Card”), NYU (“French Boy Cigarettes”), The American Blues Theater (“For You, The Same”), The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center (“Gidou”), Yaddo, and Page 73 (“Sisyphus in Yaffa”). I’m a recent MFA graduate from the Dramatic Writing department at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and received my B.A. from Harvard University in History & Literature, with a focus on the Arab world. In addition to my creative work, I am an arts educator as well as Senior Curator for Lucid, a new streaming platform and digital home for performance art, video art, dance and art film, and everything in between.

I’m also a current member of the SWANA Writer’s Co-Op, the Dramatists Guild, and a Planet Fitness that I’ve never been to.

And it's always free Palestine.
